Buster Brown
Office Mascot & Shelter Dog
Buster Brown (originally named Damon) was born at the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society on June 10, 2005. He was part of a litter of five females and two males. The mother was living at the shelter for several weeks prior to their birth. She was severely neglected and abused. A special kennel was set up for her to nurse her back to health and keep the pups safe.
To protect the health of the special pups they were divided into three groups and put into foster care with volunteers experienced with Bully Breeds.
During this time, Kory was looking to adopt a dog for his new home. He found Buster on Petfinder and drove six hours to meet him. It was love at first sight!
