East Passyunk
Avenue has been named one of the "10 Best Foodie Streets in America"
in the May 2013 issue of Food & Wine Magazine. The story honors the
thriving dining scene with special mentions for Fond (1537 S. 11th Street),
Pollyodd (1908 EPA), Marras (1736-8 EPA), Will BYOB (1911 EPA) and Era Atomica
(1726 EPA). On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, East Passyunk Business Improvement
District (EPABID) will celebrate this amazing accolade with a party around the
Singing Fountain (EPA and Tasker Street) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. DisCanto, folk
musicians from Abruzzo, will perform a free concert as part of a tour arranged
by Le Virtu. Fond, Stateside and other
restaurants around the Singing Fountain will present happy hour specials. Chef
Joncarl Lachman, of the soon-to-open Noord, will meet and greet his new
neighbors and provide a quick look into the new restaurant. Other surprises
will be added - and guests are invited to make a group toast with a photo
around the Singing Fountain. For updates, please follow @epassyunkave on
