Atlantic City rolls out the red (white and blue) carpet with a host of new (and improved) activities and resorts just in time for Independence Day. The short one-hour drive (or train ride) make it great vacation spot to celebrate July 4th but yet get back in time for work Thursday! Let your hair down, relax and "DO AC!" This city's about to sparkle and shine and we don't just mean firework..
SPECTACULAR, SPECTACULAR!
At 9:30pm, Atlantic City boasts a world-class firework display that is the largest in the state. The 20 minute display, titled “Let it Rock,” will be visible for a one mile stretch of the Boardwalk and beach from Revel Resort on Metropolitan Avenue to The Atlantic Club on Boston Avenue. Pop star Kevin Rudolf will then perform a free concert at Kennedy Plaza including “Let it Rock” and select songs from his new album. Sounds fun, right? Hold on to your hats..
New Jersey's “must see” fireworks and concert pales only to the grand finale of the night – or shall we say a big, bright debut? All eyes will turn from the sky to Boardwalk Hall for DUALITY, a cool sophisticated 3D spectacle that includes surround sound, theatrical lighting and the latest architectural video mapping technologies. The 8 ½ minute show plays twice an hour, and it's even visible from the beach. The music is an original score. The instrumental soundtrack is a fresh take on mixing orchestral music, indie-pop sensibility and electronics. Moment Factory, known for their work on Madonna’s new MDNA world tour, will bring this fascinating tale to life each and every night of the year. The boardwalk experience was already fun, but now its going to be epic!

STRIKE IT RICH
Out with the old and in with the new! Golden Nugget transformed the Trump Marina Hotel and Casino into a modern day prospector’s paradise. Their new spa and outdoor, year-round pool come complete with fire pits, hot tubs, cabanas and sleek new bar that make for a fun time – day or night. This summer, Nugget is “Best bet on the marina!”
REVEL IN THE FUN
A new kid has moved onto the block! Revel Resorts opened a $2.4 billion resort that makes you stop and simply say, “Wow!” From the lush casino floor, to multiple concert spaces, to the rooftop fire lounges and 10 pools, Revel is giving fun a luxurious new twist. Additionally, with 14 restaurants, Revel might just be the new "it" for foodies.
A/C GOES GAY
For years, Atlantic City tried and tried, but LGBT tourists were resistant to it’s charms. Now, LGBT audiences flock to this shore city. What’s changed? First, Resorts upped its cool factor with the first-ever gay bar and LGBT friendly shows (everyone like a good Diva, no?). Pro Bar (formerly Prohibition) now boasts great tunes, colorful cocktails and great eye candy. By day, Atlantic City puts the “Oh (my)” back into gay B-I-N-G-Oh with their new Out in A/C Campaign and Sunday teas. Add-in Miss'd America and so many venues for your Civil Union ceremony and A/C is now a place to have a gay old time!
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
With the launch of Duality, Revel, Nugget and Pro Bar, Atlantic City continues to add "something for everyone" and solidify it's standing as a world-class destination and a "must see" destination.
Stay tuned over the next several days as we bring you live updates from the new Fourth of July hot spot. Join the fun and DO AC:
